Buffalo LinkStation to support iPhone streaming
Wednesday, September 10, 2008
Buffalo Technology has upgraded its Web Access feature to allow users of its NAS devices to view and play stored content via their Apple iPhone™. The LinkStation series is the first NAS family to support media access through the Apple iPhone™, using Buffalo’s unique Web Access feature. With Buffalo's Web Access feature, users can seamlessly stream digital content stored on the Buffalo device from anywhere in the world via a web browser with a simple, easy-to-use setup and intuitive interface.
Content is accessed via the Apple iPhone™ by running Safari, logging on to http://buffalonas.com and entering the registered name of the LinkStation. Users can then immediately connect to their digital content and choose to view files, stream music and videos, or view photos.
The new Apple iPhone™ Web Access functionality will be included in firmware on all new LinkStation Live models from September. Users of Buffalo’s LinkStation Pro Duo and LinkStation Mini devices can download the updated firmware free of charge from www.buffalotech.com
